Backerkit Surveys & A make/100 Project

Backerkit Surveys Emailed Today

Thank you for your patience on the project and I hope you're all having a great new year so far. 

We will send an email with a special link to BackerKit surveys today. It is important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information for fulfilling your rewards.

You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey, just click on the survey link, fill it out, and you’re all good to go. You will be able to answer questions about your rewards preferences, provide shipping information, and pledge for more “add-ons” if you'd like. You do not have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

If you decide later that you want to edit your survey response, you can go back to your survey and change it any time before we lock down the surveys for processing.

If you use your Facebook login for your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you would prefer to use, please contact support at https://pon-plus.backerkit.com/faq and we'll get you sorted out!

International backers with more than 1 order: you will see the additional one-time shipping fee as an add-on item when you're filling out the survey. Please add this to your order to balance out the pledge amount.

The work toward perfecting the Pon+ after finding a new manufacturer was longer than expected. As you know, it's more important to get the quality right rather than rushing out something that's not made to the highest standards. The most significant things that were tweaked were: the specific type of stainless steel, the finish of the steel, and the diameter of the wire (dialed down to the best 1/10th of a millimeter).

Since it's January, the month of Chinese New Year, the company working on production will be taking a vacation for a few weeks to celebrate the holiday. The project delays will revolve around this but we're getting closer and closer to getting things to you. Right now we're aiming to begin shipping out the middle of March. 

Once again, I apologize for the delay and have been working as fast as possible with coordinating on the prototyping and manufacturing these past months.  

make/100

I'm going to be launching a project for Kickstarter's make/100 initiative right after this update and wanted to give you a quick heads up. For make/100 I'm introducing a personal pet project of mine that I've been thinking of sharing lately. It's a simple little sculpture that you can see below. I'll be making just 100 casts of the bird so if you're interested you can go ahead and check it out here. This project will in no way interfere with the timeline for Pon+ and will be worked on after the Pon+ rewards are taken care of.
