Thanks again to everyone for helping to make the project happen!

If you know anyone who missed out on the campaign but would like to pre-order for a delivery after the Kickstarter fulfillment, they can always go to the Pon Shop and get themselves in line. You can also purchase the original Pon on the site as well.

Next Steps

The next steps will be pretty straightforward, we're going to be initiating manufacturing soon after we get the payment from Kickstarter, which should take a couple weeks.

Surveys

Hang tight and wait a couple months for the backer surveys. Those will be sent out when the orders are all ready to go. We're going to wait as long as we can to send those because there are bound to be a handful of people who move, and it will be smoother if no one has to change addresses around. There will be an update specifically for surveys when they are ready to go.

I'll be sure to update on the project as needed, but will try to keep things light as to not fill up your inboxes too much.

At the moment I'm on a little camping trip up in northern Wisconsin and figured it would be good to sneak away for a few minutes to update you all at the local library. I snapped that photo on my phone last night–a beautiful sunset with crescent moon...if only you could smell the pine trees as well!

I'm gonna go get back to kayaking.

Midway & 3D Printing

We recently crossed the halfway mark in the campaign and it's a good time to say thanks for getting the project over $18,000 already!

Printing Explorations

A few months ago I caved and bought a 3D printer and have been steadily printing a variety of my personal designs with it. One of these ideas happened to be a set of wall pockets that could be wall-mounted with the original Pon. I enjoyed how they came out and have been using them ever since. Take a look below, and if you have a 3D printer of your own you can download the files and print if you'd like. I'm in the process of designing something like this for the Pon+ as well...stay tuned for that!

Home Stretch

Hey Everybody,

We're on the home stretch of the campaign with just three days left. Today the project became a "Project We Love" on Kickstarter (Thank you Kickstarter!). It'll be exciting to see what happens in the final days! Thanks to everyone who has shared the project out and helped bring more eyes and backers to us.

3D Printing for Pon+

As mentioned in the last update, I'm a bit hooked on 3D printing lately. So much that I recently designed and printed a wall pocket that can be mounted via Pon+. The Pon will simply slide up the channel at the back and go into the wall. I'm refining the details a bit and plan to eventually share it out so that anyone who backs the Kickstarter can print it as well.

Another Great Project

Manual Tea Maker Nº1

I wanted to share out Manual's newest Kickstarter, the Manual Tea Maker Nº1. I backed the project myself and cannot wait to get it. I'm a tea lover who likes to brew with loose tea and often end up just brewing one cup at a time. I think this tea maker is great because it gives you everything you need to brew in a beautiful and compact form. 

Manual also creates other very well-designed goods for the kitchen that you can purchase right from their site now. Their based right here in Chicago as well. Craighton Berman of Manual has been an invaluable resource for me, and has given me solid advice on basically all aspect of crowdfunding projects. (He teaches a class on it too)

Big shout out to Craighton!

Goal!

Thanks to you we made the goal in less than a week and are steadily climbing above it!

This time around the pledge groups are limited and arranged so that those who back first will receive their rewards first. With this structure we can easily handle large backer quantities and make everyone happy by knowing more accurately when they will receive their reward.

Feel free to share the project if you'd like to be a part making it grow even more!

A Notable Project

Nope 2.0

Even Mark Zuckerberg covers his camera on his laptop to keep it blocked from hackers. Now Nope 2.0 is one of the most popular design projects on Kickstarter and I'm a backer myself. I met the creators of Nope 2.0 a couple years ago at an event in Chicago and they are great people who care about their products and backers.
